Sarracenia H 395 is a stunning hybrid from Farmyard Nurseries. The darkest plant we grow at present it is vigorous with moderate growth. Possible a S. × moorei (flava × leucophylla cross) it produces strong deepest purple moderately vigorous pitchers

Culturally, like all sarracenias it requires boggy conditions with consistently moist, nutrient-poor soil comprising sphagnum peat and perlite or sand. Position in full sun to partial shade outdoors, ensuring the compost never dries out by standing pots in rainwater or distilled water. Hardy to -10°C, it benefits from winter dormancy in unheated conditions. As with most moorei crosses, this hybrid displays exceptional vigour and variable characteristics. Feed naturally through caught insects rather than fertiliser. Repot every 2-3 years using appropriate carnivorous plant compost.
