Standard Delivery – Plants & Seeds
We pride ourselves on keeping the costs of our plants as low as possible and of a high quality (compare our plant costs to Crocus and other big sellers). In order to do this we have to charge delivery at cost based on weight. We have therefore put our delivery charges into bands.

Delivery is charged by total package weight. Simply add items to your basket, proceed to the checkout and enter your delivery address and the delivery charges will be calculated and displayed.
Our standard delivery service is provided by DPD next day delivery and processing time can be between 2-10 working days.
Working Day is defined as Monday to Friday and does not include bank holidays.
The Standard Delivery service is only offered to mainland UK. Mainland UK consists of England, Wales and Scotland, excluding Scottish Highlands AB36-38, AB55-56, FK17-21, IV1-39, IV52-54, IV63, KW1-14, PA21-40, PH19-26, PH30-41 and PH49-50, Scottish Islands, Channel Islands, Scilly Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man & Isle of Wight.
In order to keep plant prices low, we have a 3 item minimum order. (This does not apply to ‘collections’.)
As you can see the environment is important to us, we have tried to remove the use of plastics all together and use only renewable, recyclable and reusable products. The straw packaging can be recycled, reused or composted, however we have noticed that in some of the straw batches there are some barley seeds left that may find a way into your pots and may germinate. If you spot any in your pots these should be pulled out. The packing peanuts used are bio-degradable and do not contain plastics and are made from a corn starch.
Delivery Outside Mainland UK
We also offer international shipping, to most locations within Europe. If however your country is not available to select from the country drop-down when filling out your address, a shipping calculation is not currently set up for you. In this instance please contact us for a shipping quotation before placing an order.
We will deliver the goods to the address you specify for delivery on your order. Please make sure this address is up to date and accurate, and that you are careful to select the appropriate address for shipping and billing. We cannot accept any liability for loss or damage to the goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions.
If we anticipate a delay
We aim to deliver within the quoted time frame, but delivery times are not guaranteed. If delivery is delayed due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, we will contact you to notify you of the delay and provide you with an alternative date for delivery. If you are not happy with the revised date, your order will be cancelled and we will refund your order in full. In no event shall we be liable for any damages or penalty for any delay in delivery.
Problem with the delivery
We will notify you when your order is ready for dispatch. If you do not receive your order within 2 days of your dispatch notification please contact us as soon as possible. To notify us please email firstname.lastname@example.org, or telephone 01559 363 389.
Carefully remove plants from the box, check all packaging to make sure you haven’t missed any. Most plants can be planted out immediately if the conditions are suitable, however some may need to be kept in a glasshouse or cold frame until late spring/early summer or until the risk of frost has passed. Bare-root plants can be planted immediately if conditions are suitable, if not, they can be potted up until planting is possible.
If you are not satisfied with your order please contact us immediately either by phone or email, if by email it is a good idea to send us photographs of your plants. Keep all packaging, We will do our best to sort things out immediately.
Cut Back Plants
You will notice that some of your plants may have been cut back, there’s absolutely no need to worry. This may have been done for a number of reasons including routine maintenance or restrictions in height to get them in the box (This tends to happen more as the seasons progresses). The plants will grow away nicely and we find that they are often better than trying to leave all the foliage on during transport. Sometimes, when a plant is in flower we will leave these on so that you can enjoy them, this is always difficult as the blooms damage very easily. If this happens just trim the plant back and, as above, it will grow away. Please keep well watered and plant out as normal. If you have any concerns do not hesitate to contact us on 01559363389.
