Description
Another stunner from Les Burdett. Tall and very elegant the dark reddish purple veined pitchers are a real eyecatcher. Nicely shaped and free branching this is another for the collector. Another one of our favourites! Height 60-75cm (24-30″). Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1″) of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
