Description
A very rare Adrian Slack hybrid. Tall and majestic its pitchers have huge hoods each with a bold red blotch at the base. A plant that soon forms good clumps. Strange almost ‘Triffid-like’ orangey-yellow flowers, held high, are borne in spring. Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1″) of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. Efficient fly wasp catchers they grow in full sun in moist or wet acidic nutrient-less soils. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
