Description
An interesting Sarracenia hybrid, short in stature and of medium vigour, this cute plant is aptly named. The lid gently overhangs the greenish yellow, red veined pitchers giving an almost amphibian look to the whole plant. Spring and autumn pitchers are lovely. Height 30cm (12″) Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1″) of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
