Description
(F CU 02) These forms are really hardy, being amongst the best for outdoor planting soon forming large clumps. This one has copper tinged pitchers with darker lids. Tall flower spikes bear rather strange looking yellow flowers. Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1″) of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
