Description
An introduction from the mountain forests of Oaxaca, Mexico. Similar to S. patens but much bigger getting to 1.8m (6′). The large intense deep blue flowers are borne in late summer and are quite spectacular . Totally hardy in well drained Sun or semi-shade. A good plant for collectors of the unusual.
