Description
An unusual heritage variety – ‘Kirkes’ has been known since 1810, where it was disciovered in a german nursery. Beautiful clusters of white flowers are quite inspirational being scented too! The fruit is large and deliciously sweet with a white tinged purple skin. Heavy cropping, ripening August-September. The fruits are not prone to drop in the wind, hanging on stubbornly. All in all a fantastic variety. Prefers a warm sunny or semni shaded site. Good for eating and cooking. Needs a pollinator.
