Description
Available from 11 June
Pilosella aurantiaca, commonly known as Orange Hawkweed or Fox-and-Cubs, is a striking, low-growing perennial known for its vibrant orange-red blooms. Flowering from late spring through summer, its daisy-like flower heads sit atop slender, hairy stems above rosettes of soft, lance-shaped leaves. The bright flowers attract bees and butterflies, making it a valuable addition to pollinator gardens. Ideal for wildflower meadows, gravel gardens, or informal borders, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Spreading by runners, it forms attractive mats of colour and texture. Reaching about 30–40cm tall, Pilosella aurantiaca brings bold colour and natural charm with minimal care.
