Leptospermum ‘Wiri Adrianne’ is an attractive New Zealand tea tree cultivar renowned for its profuse flowering and compact growth habit. This evergreen shrub typically reaches heights of 1.5 to 2 metres with a similar spread, forming a dense, rounded bush. It produces masses of small, five-petalled flowers in soft pink to white tones during late spring and early summer, often with a second flush in autumn. The small, aromatic leaves are dark green and needle-like, providing year-round structural interest.

In UK gardens, ‘Wiri Adrianne’ performs best in full sun with well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It tolerates coastal conditions and drought once established, making it ideal for Mediterranean-style gardens. This cultivar shows good cold tolerance but benefits from shelter from harsh winds. Pruning should be carried out immediately after flowering to maintain shape and encourage bushier growth. Avoid hard pruning into old wood as recovery can be slow.
