Hydrangea Tokyo Delight

Hydrangea Tokyo Delight is a stunning compact deciduous shrub renowned for its vibrant, lacecap-style flowers. This charming variety typically grows to heights of 1-1.2 metres, making it ideal for smaller gardens, containers, or as a specimen plant. The plant produces delicate, predominantly sterile florets surrounding fertile flowers in the centre, creating an elegant, intricate appearance. Ple pimnkish-white flowers bloom from mid-summer through to autumn.

Culturally, Tokyo Delight thrives in partial shade to dappled sunlight and prefers moist, well-draining, acidic to neutral soil enriched with organic matter. Water regularly during the growing season, ensuring the soil remains consistently moist but not waterlogged. This hydrangea benefits from feeding in spring and early summer with a balanced fertiliser. Pruning should be undertaken in late winter, removing dead wood and shaping as desired.
