Hosta ‘Barbara Ann’ is a stunning, medium to large-sized perennial known for its striking variegated foliage and elegant presence in shaded gardens. Its large, heart-shaped leaves feature deep blue-green centres bordered by wide, creamy-white margins, creating a crisp and dramatic contrast. The thick, slightly puckered texture adds depth and offers good slug resistance. In early to midsummer, tall spikes of pale lavender flowers emerge, adding a soft, graceful touch and attracting pollinators. Growing to around 45-60cm in height with a spread of up to 90cm, ‘Barbara Ann’ thrives in partial to full shade with moist, well-drained soil, bringing season-long beauty and structure.
