Description

Grisellina ruscifolia

Commonly known as Griselinia, is an evergreen shrub indigenous to Chile, well-suited to coastal regions and resilient against salty winds. Typically reaching a height of around 120-200 cm (4-6′) , it bears inconspicuous creamy-white flowers that bloom from May to June. This shrub is largely hardy and requires regular watering. Its oval-shaped leaves are green, and it produces black fruit seeds from September to October. Griselinia thrives in sunny or partially shaded locations and prefers good gardening soil. It grows upright and can spread between 50 and 75 cm.
