Gibasis pellucida, commonly known as Tahitian Bridal Veil or Bridal Veil Plant, is a delicate and charming trailing perennial native to Mexico and Central America. This plant is prized for its cascading habit and dainty foliage, making it popular for hanging baskets and as a ground cover in frost-free areas. Typically, it grows to a height of 15-30 cm (6-12 inches) but can trail up to 60-90 cm (2-3 feet) in length.

The plant features small, oval-shaped leaves that are a soft green color with a slightly translucent quality, giving rise to its species name ‘pellucida’. The foliage grows densely along thin, wiry stems, creating a lush, billowing effect. Throughout the growing season, Gibasis pellucida produces tiny, three-petaled white flowers that appear sporadically among the leaves, adding a subtle charm to its appearance.

Thriving in partial shade to bright, indirect light, this plant prefers consistently moist, well-draining soil.
