Geranium phaeum ‘Wendy’s Blush’

Geranium phaeum ‘Wendy’s Blush’ is a charming herbaceous perennial cranesbill, valued for its delicate, nodding flowers in soft blush-pink with a darker, dusky centre, held on slender stems above lobed, mid-green foliage. It typically reaches 60-75cm in height, with a spread of around 45cm, forming an attractive clump that works well in cottage gardens, woodland borders or shady beds.

Flowering from late spring into early summer, it provides a gentle, romantic display that pairs beautifully with ferns, hostas and other shade-loving perennials. The foliage remains attractive well after flowering has finished.

This variety is easy to grow, thriving in partial or dappled shade, though it will tolerate full sun in cooler, moister climates. It prefers fertile, humus-rich, moisture-retentive soil, and is generally hardy throughout the UK. Cut back spent flower stems after blooming to encourage tidy regrowth and may produce a second flush of flowers.
