Clematis ‘The President’

Description

‘The President’ is a show-stopping, large-flowered clematis, known for its rich blue-purple, star-shaped blooms that can reach an impressive 18cm across. The broad, slightly wavy petals overlap beautifully, each subtly marked with a faint reddish stripe down the centre. At the heart of each flower sits a striking cluster of white anthers tipped with red, adding an extra layer of visual appeal. A recipient of the RHS Award of Garden Merit, this hardy climber grows to around 2.5 metres but can easily be pruned to suit smaller spaces. Flowering from June to August, it’s a vigorous and reliable choice for adding vertical colour and charm to any garden.
