Description
Bergenia ciliata ‘Dumbo’ is favoured for its handsome, large, rounded and hairy leaves. Native to Afghanistan into south-east Tibet, it grows in woods and shady rock ledges. It is a truly deciduous plant whose leaves disappear totally in the winter, emerging beautifully in the spring. Pale pink clusters of flowers are borne during March and April, gradually darkening as they age. A rather special plant. Height 50cm (20″)
