‘Baptisia ‘Lemon Meringue’(Decadence Series) is a compact, upright perennial growing to about 90 cm tall and wide. It features striking charcoal-grey stems topped with pea-like, lemon-yellow flowers in late spring to early summer. Beneath the blooms, a mound of blue-green foliage forms a neat vase shape. This easy-care plant is drought resistant, making it well-suited to poor, well-drained soils in full sun. Once established, it requires minimal maintenance. The attractive flowers are followed by decorative seed pods that last into autumn. It’s an excellent choice for mixed borders, prairie-style plantings, or cutting gardens.
