Description
Upright and bushy habit. Leaves emerge late in spring, affording it some frost protection. Its colour is red purple in spring and summer, crimson red in autumn. Holds onto leaves longer than most Japaneser maples. Will cope well in full sun but also hold its colour well in partrial shade.Height 4m – 5m (13′-15′) Needs a sheltered spot.
