Description
Of all the widely grown Acers this one has to be a firm favourite. Small trees that grow at a reasonable rate with large green deeply cut leaves. These turn a deep crimson red in the autumn. On the face of it it seems ordinary but it has a grace that makes it a bit special. Prefers slightly acidic conditions in a semi shaded sheltered site. Height 2-3m (6-10′)
