Hydrangea ‘Lime Ricky’ is a stunning deciduous shrub that brings vibrant colour to the garden from summer through autumn. This compact cultivar typically reaches heights of 90-120cm with a similar spread, making it ideal for smaller gardens, borders, or containers. The plant produces large, cone-shaped panicles of flowers that emerge lime green, gradually transitioning to white, then taking on pink and burgundy tones as autumn approaches.

Culturally, ‘Lime Ricky’ thrives in moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. It prefers a position in full sun to partial shade, though some afternoon shade is beneficial in hotter regions. Water regularly, especially during dry spells, and apply a balanced fertiliser in spring. Prune in late winter or early spring, cutting back to strong buds to maintain shape and encourage vigorous flowering. This hardy hydrangea tolerates temperatures down to -20°C and is relatively low-maintenance once established.
