Description
Boehmeria japonica
Boehmeria japonica, commonly known as Japanese Boehmeria, is a perennial plant that forms a dense cluster of stems, which can become woody and persistent. It typically grows between 1.5 to 2 metres tall. In colder regions, it tends to die back to a woody rootstock during winter. This plant thrives in shaded to partially shaded locations. It is an excellent choice for adding texture and interest to gardens. Some unusual plants that pair well with Boehmeria japonica include Arisaema and Podophyllum
