Description
(25 Seed minimum open pollinated) A rather pretty Adrian Slack hybrid. Pitchers are white, veined with red, with patterning similar to S leucophylla. They have lovely ‘Cobra-like’ hoods. Lovely wine red flowers are borne in spring. Slightly whiter than H17. A good hardy hybrid. Like all Sarracenias they need to stand in 2.5cm (1″) of soft (rain) water in acidic nutrient-less soil in full sun for good growth. They are efficient fly and wasp catchers both indoors and out. Good as container plants. Keep well hydrated spring to autumn but keep just damp in winter. Needs a cold winter dormancy for long term plant health. Good flycatchers for a sunny window sill. Plants may be sent bare rooted.
