Tree Paeony ‘Yin Hong Qiao Dui’ Chinese Paeonia suffruticosa hybrids

Description

Stunning plants, native to China, having been grown there for 2000 years. They are surprisingly hardy and these flamboyant shrubs really do give a splash of colour with their huge, mainly double, flowers. Growing to a height of about 1.5 metyres (5′) their leaves alone are quite architectural providing interest when the flowers have faded. Prefers a sunny or partially shaded site in a well drained soil. Slow growing initially they will live for 50 years or more if happy. This one has huge pink, golden centred flowers up to 20cm (8″) across.
