Cardamine trifolia
is a rather select, yet not mind-blowing, member of this lovely family. Evergreen mats of foliage bear numerous spikes of small white flowers during mid-spring. An excellent plant for growing in the shade, as long as enough moisture is present. It reaches a height of 15cm (6 inches). This plant prefers a moist, shaded environment and pairs well with other woodland perennials like Ferns, Primroses, and Hostas.
