An evergreen variegated foliage plant used as a climber or loose shrub or a conservatory plant. Prized for several centuries it is a splendid plant. Bright yellow pea-like flowers from April onwards. Sunny warm site.

Can also be used as a conservatory plant where it will flower for months. A good free flowering plant. It was introduced to Britain in 1569 during the reign of Elizabeth 1st so has stood the test of time. Can be rather short lived, often flowering itself to death so needs cuttings taking every few years as it becomes woody and lacking in vigour.
