1) Postage and packaging

Auriculas are sent by Royal Mail letter post.

Prices as per items sold. Plants are bare rooted and packed either in damp moss or peat.

2) Unpacking your mail order [Image]

When your box arrives great care should be taken when unpacking. Plants are not like car spare parts, they are alive and will continue to grow even in the box. They may have been in this box for 2 or three days and will be a little battered - this is inevitable, but nothing to worry about.

Auriculas are best potted into small pots 9cm is ideal. They prefer a loam based compost, 50:50 John Innes number 3 and peat based compost is ideal with plenty of added grit for good drainage.

Potted plants should be left in a semi shaded site for a while to acclimatise.

Once the plants have been out of the box for a week  or so they should be back to their original condition.

3) Guarantees, complaints, returns etc.

We do our best to ensure that the items we sell are accurately named and of good quality. If however you feel that there is a problem please feel free to contact us.

All reasonable complaints will be sympathetically dealt with if notified within 7 days of receipt.

Cultivation

[Image]Primula auriculas are easily grown as long as a few points are adhered to. they really do not like wet conditions during the winter months and are best overwintered in a cold glasshouse or structure to shed most of the rain.

Once Spring starts to break then a reasonable watering regime can commence. They prefer a semi shaded site where they will flower profusely during the late spring months in a really spectacular, almost unlimited combination of colours.

Feeding is beneficial when actively growing and something such as 'Miracle Gro' is ideal.
