What are we doing to 'Save the Planet'

It must be a thing that is on most peoples minds now more than ever and as a responsible business we feel that we must do our bit.

Its not  just for us but for the likes of little Ruthie (below, following in the family tradition) that we  must try.

You will no doubt be aware that every little helps but it is a balancing act between business and ethics.

As a general rule everything that we can re-use, we do - pots, trays, compost, packaging materials etc. This does leave us open on occasion to criticism, we are sometimes accused of being 'non professional' but really does it matter what sort of box your mail order comes in or what colour pots your plants are grown in - we don't think so.

So where mail order is concerned, if you want a new box and shiney round polystyrene chippings then maybe we are not the company to deal with. We do sometimes use new boxes when we run out of second hand ones, but have never yet bought packing materials... shredded office waste and junk mail do the job just as well. With eBay in mind, we never send paperwork unless requested to do so, if you need to know what you have bought then print one off for yourself... in these days of such waste why must everything be documented in triplicate or more... go on leave the paperwork.. save a tree!

We are always looking for other ways and sensible suggestions on how to improve our recycling.. please let us know if you have any ideas.
